Misery And Rain

Img_0294_1by Nihilex05 Nov 2017

When you open your eyes for the first time in years...
What is left is but misery and rain

When the night comes...
And you realize you can no longer shut your eyes...
You lay awake, staring at the ceiling...
Imagining what your life could have been...
Waiting for nothing and wasting away

You open the blinds only to realize...
What is left is but misery and rain

Tomorrow is just another day...
A week is just a week...
Months slip by and turn into years...
You grow old and grey

The familiar streets decay...
Your life slowly slips away...
Nothing looks the same...
We all slowly fade away

Tomorrow is just another day...
Of misery and rain.
